The children attending Elements Montessori are given the freedom to explore their environment, within previously agreed upon Ground Rules, and to choose work according to their own liking and developmental abilities. Here in New England, the occasions for seasonal observations and outdoor exploration and discovery are infinite and spectacular. Our children are provided with numerous opportunities to sharpen their senses, make meaningful connections, and expand their intellect as we investigate this amazing world in which we live.
Montessori classrooms group children in 3 year cycles. Our youngest children benefit from the experiences of children returning for their 2nd, 3rd and sometimes even 4th year in the same classroom. The elders in the group take great pride in sharing their expertise and guide their new friends with kindness and courtesy. Strong, social bonds are formed between children and adults alike.
